Hello, Welcome to Speech Communication at DMACC!
I am originally from Minnesota where I have a B.A. in Speech Communication and a M.Ed. in Adult Education, both from the University of Minnesota. I am also working on a second Master's Degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Speech Education. I taught at St. Mary's University in Winona, MN for 4 years and was the Director of an Upward Bound Program in Rochester, MN before moving to Iowa. I have two sons, Austin (12) and Evan (7) and we have 3 cats and 2 dogs.I enjoy reading a new book each month for book group, I also like to design jewelry, watch movies, cross country ski, travel, and play with my boys and pets.
